I'm Virginie Gribouilli,
a French sculptor who portrays animals as a timeless archive. Using cold porcelain, I create unique pieces that are exhibited internationally. A two-time finalist in the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize in 2022 and 2023, I won the Susannah Kelly Award in the ‘Artist of great potential’ category in 2025 and am one of the artists whose works are exhibited year-round at the Naia Museum in Brittany. My art serves as a vehicle for addressing important issues regarding wildlife conservation, sharing common sentiments, inspiring wonder and broadening perspectives.
Our understanding of animal life is constantly evolving and reveals how societies construct myths about our connection with certain species whilst simultaneously destroying the reputation and habitats of others.
